Human-inspired model for norm compliance decision making
نویسندگان
چکیده
One of the main goals of the agent community is to provide a trustworthy technology that allows humans to delegate some specific tasks to software agents. Frequently, laws and social norms regulate these tasks. As a consequence agents need mechanisms for reasoning about these norms similarly to the user that has delegated the task to them. Specifically, agents should be able to balance these norms against their internal motivations before taking action. In this paper, we propose a humaninspired model for making decisions about norm compliance based on three different factors: self-interest, enforcement mechanisms and internalized emotions. Different agent personalities can be defined according to the importance given to each factor. These personalities have been experimentally compared and the results are shown in this article. متن کاملInferring Strategies of Avoidance: Towards Socially Competent Navigation in Human Environments
We present a framework for online navigation planning in multi-agent environments, where no explicit communication takes place among agents, such as pedestrian scenes. Inspired by pedestrian navigation, our approach encodes the concept of coordination into agents’ decision making through an inference mechanism about joint strategies of avoidance. Strategies of avoidance represent avoidance prot...
متن کاملNormative Agents for Real-world Scenarios (Doctoral Consortium)
Norms are an important part of human social systems, governing many aspects of group decision-making. Yet many popularly used social models neglect to model normative effects on human behavior, relying on simple probabilistic and majority voting models of influence diffusion. Within the multi-agent research community, the study of norm emergence, compliance, and adoption has resulted in new arc...
متن کاملA Norm-Based Probabilistic Decision-Making Model for Autonomic Traffic Networks
We propose a norm-based agent-oriented model of decision-making of semi-autonomous vehicles in urban traffic scenarios. Computational norms are used to represent the driving rules and conventions that influence the distributed decisionmaking process of the vehicles. As norms restrict the admissible behaviour of the agents, we propose to represent them as constraints, and we express the agents’ ...
متن کاملDesigning a new multi-objective fuzzy stochastic DEA model in a dynamic environment to estimate efficiency of decision making units (Case Study: An Iranian Petroleum Company)
This paper presents a new multi-objective fuzzy stochastic data envelopment analysis model (MOFS-DEA) under mean chance constraints and common weights to estimate the efficiency of decision making units for future financial periods of them. In the initial MOFS-DEA model, the outputs and inputs are characterized by random triangular fuzzy variables with normal distribution, in which ...
